CETTI offers a substantial support in electronic packaging activities for innovative SMEs, and sustains training for continuing education of the human resource involved in electronics industry.
The Center for Technological Electronics and Interconnection Techniques from “Politehnica” University of Bucharest, (UPB - CETTI), was founded in 1995 as a research and training center, in accordance with the new Romanian legislation for education and research.
Like other electronic packaging centers in the world, the main objectives of CETTI are to offer a substantial support in electronic packaging activities for innovative SMEs and to sustain educational and training for continuing education of the human resource involved in electronics industry. The center was initially focused on students and engineers for CAD training activities.
Beginning with 1997, CETTI has participated to various grants in the framework of the Program of Higher Education & Research, funded by the World Bank and the Romanian Government. At the same time, CETTI has been present in several funding national and international programs (Phare, INCO Copernicus, Leonardo da Vinci). It is now a well-known electronic packaging center and has ongoing cooperations with American and European universities and organisations.
