The SMTA is pleased to announce that the program for SMTA International is finalized and available on-line at www.smta.org/smtai and registration is open. The conference will be held at the Fort Worth Convention Center in Fort Worth, TX on October 16-20, 2011. This year's program allows the attendee to choose from 21 courses, 130 technical papers, 4 focused symposia, and numerous free offerings throughout the conference.
Over one hundred leading edge suppliers make up the "sold out" SMTAI Electronics Exhibition, which will be held Tuesday and Wednesday, October 18-19. For the second year SMTA International is offering attendees a unique advantage not available at any other industry event, Doctor's Hours. Attendees are invited to consult with high-level technical experts to solve specific current problems at no cost. Free lunch will also be provided on the show floor on Tuesday.
SMTA International offers educational opportunities covering Manufacturing and Assembly, Advanced Packaging, Substrates, Soldering, and Quality and Reliability. Technical sessions will be held on Monday through Thursday. Tutorials are half-day educational courses offered on Sunday, Monday, and Thursday. The conference proudly offers 12 new tutorials in 2011.
The AIMS Harsh Environments Symposium joins the list of focused symposia which are included in technical conference registration this year. The other informative offerings include the Evolving Technologies Summit, Contract Manufacturing Symposium, and Lead-Free Soldering Technology Symposium.

Rounding out the program is the Keynote Address during the Annual Meeting and Luncheon on Wednesday that will feature Mark Medlen, Riverwood Solutions, addressing the very important topic of True Competitive Differentiation in the Supply Chain.
