The SMTA announced that the Evolving Technologies Summit will be held on October 15, 2012 as a focused symposium at SMTA International in Orlando, FL. The purpose of the summit is to present the key issues in PCB Embedded Technology, Advanced Materials, Printing, and Technology Roadmaps in order to gain insight about the way technology will change in the future.
The event is organized by Reza Ghaffarian, Ph.D., Jet Propulsion Laboratories, Lars Böttcher, Fraunhofer Institute IZM, and Steve Greathouse, Plexus Corp. Session topics include PCB Embedded Technology - The Development, Application and Reliability, Advanced Materials and Printing, and Technology Roadmaps of Our Ever-Changing Future. The symposium will close with a panel discussion on Component Packaging Technology, Embedded Active Devices, Nanomaterials, Packaging/Solar to Meet Customer Needs, 3D/TSV Packaging, Lead-Free, and Roadmaps.
