The SMTA is currently seeking student applications for the Charles Hutchins Educational Grant by April 30, 2021.
The $8000 Charles Hutchins Educational Grant, co-sponsored by the SMTA and CIRCUITS ASSEMBLY magazine, was established in memory of past SMTA president, educator, mentor, and industry colleague, Dr. Charles Hutchins.The SMTA has awarded over $100,000 to Hutchins Grant recipients since 1998!
Eligible applicants must be full time, graduate-level students pursuing a degree and working on thesis research in electronics assembly, electronics packaging, or a related field. All required materials are due April 30, 2021. The Grant Committee reviews all qualified applications and makes their recommendation to the SMTA Board of Directors. The winners will be honored at the SMTA International Conference in Minneapolis, MNon November 1 - 4, 2021.
