Industry-leading associations IPC and SMTA jointly announce the agenda for the Conformal Coating technical workshop to be held on Tuesday November 13, 2012 from 8 a.m.-12 p.m. during the IPC/SMTA Higher Reliability Cleaning and Coating Conference, scheduled to take place November 13-15, 2012 at the Crowne Plaza Hotel – O’Hare in Chicago, IL. The conference is intensely focused on electronic assembly reliability, and the influence of cleaning and coating upon producing reliable hardware.
The workshop will be taught by Doug Pauls of Rockwell Collins and Jason Keeping of Celestica.
The workshop will teach the basics of conformal coating and coating processes.
The course will introduce the fundamentals and assumes no prior knowledge of coatings. Topics include popular myths and misconceptions as well as commons causes of coating problems.
The second half of the course will teach the use and application of conformal coating in the manufacturing environment.
