The Nominating and Governance Committee of the IPC Board of Directors presented four candidates for election at the IPC Annual Meeting today, held in conjunction with IPC APEX EXPO® at the Mandalay Bay Convention Center in Las Vegas. Three candidates were elected as board officers and will serve two-year terms. One candidate was elected as a first-term director and will serve a four-year term.
The three board officers are:
Chairman of the Board - Marc Peo, president, Heller Industries - An IPC Board member since 2009, Peo has also served on the SMEMA Dual Rail Committee, IPC SMEMA Council Steering Committee and IPC APEX Trade Show Subcommittee.
Vice Chairman - Joe O’Neil, president, Hunter Technology Corporation - O'Neil has chaired several IPC/CCA Sacramento Days and has been an active member of IPC's Board since 2006.
Secretary/Treasurer - Mikel Williams, president and CEO, JPS Industries, Inc. - Williams is a member of IPC’s government relations and finance committees as well as the IPC Executive Agent Task Force. He has served on the IPC Board since 2010.
The new board director is:
First-term director - Steven Betza, corporate director, advanced manufacturing & development, Lockheed Martin Corporation - Betza’s responsibilities include leading Lockheed Martin’s partnerships with the National Network for Manufacturing Innovation (NNMI) and applied research in additive manufacturing, advanced materials, digital manufacturing and next generation electronics.
During a 30-year career with IBM and Lockheed Martin, he has held progressively responsible positions in engineering, program management and information technology.
In addition to holding Board elections, IPC honored outgoing Board chairman, Steve Pudles, whose most recent position was CEO of Spectral Response. Pudles will serve as the Immediate Past Chair on the IPC Board of Directors Executive Committee for a two-year term.
