Following a highly successful 2013 International Printed Circuit & APEX South China Fair (HKPCA & IPC Show), IPC — Association Connecting Electronics Industries® and Hong Kong Printed Circuit Association (HKPCA) are extending their alliance to host the event for another four years. The 2014 event will be held 3–5 December at the Shenzhen Convention & Exhibition Center in Shenzhen, China with an anticipated 500 exhibitors covering 42,000 square meters.
In keeping with the mission of the two fair organizers to provide a quality exhibition, the introduction of the well-known IPC APEX brand last year helped strengthen the exhibit scope of the show as it catered to the rapid market development of the electronics manufacturing services (EMS) sector in the country. Participation of IPC members in the show increased nearly 200 percent, contributing to growth in attendance of 20 percent.
“The HKPCA and IPC Show has grown to be the biggest electronics show in China,” said IPC President of Greater China Philip Carmichael. “IPC is pleased to continue its partnership with HKPCA to further advance and strengthen our industry across all segments of the supply chain.”
In addition to PCB materials and equipment, new exhibits at the event will showcase advanced and emerging technologies in printed board manufacturing and electronics assembly. The event will also host keynote speakers who will share their expertise on new technologies, provide updates on market and industry trends, new product processes and more.
HKPCA welcomes IPC’s decision to extend the show partnership agreement four more years. “Before the conclusion of the 2013 event, more than 1,900 booths were reserved for this year’s show and we’re anticipating a record-number of exhibitors, exhibit space and attendees,” added Carmichael. “The 2014 theme, ‘Building through Resilience,’ conveys exactly what our industry is seeing in China. Steady growth, new technology and the resilience to take on new challenges in the global competitive printed board industry.”
