Universal Instruments is celebrating a milestone anniversary at APEX 2009 in Las Vegas. For 90 years, the company has successfully brought innovative products to the market. At this year's APEX show, Universal will again share its latest solutions designed to improve customer productivity.
Universal entered the electronics assembly arena by partnering with IBM in the 1950's and put a stamp on the industry with the original platform - the GSM Platform in 1992. Currently at the pinnacle of its sophistication and performance, the Universal platform product line, comprised of the flagship Genesis and value-driven AdVantisX, will be on display on booth #1473 as a part Universal's next-generation solutions featuring industry-renowned expertise and modular support initiatives.
"We're anxious to share our current product offerings with the attendees at APEX," says Brad Bennett, Universal Vice President of Sales. "We've made our name with the platform," he continued, "but this year we're especially proud of some of the process and support initiatives we have for our customers. It's a critical component of maximizing uptime, yield, and overall productivity, all vital to today's manufacturing challenges."
Universal's Genesis and AdVantisX maintain the original platform concept and are well-suited to today's volatile, higher-mix market. Easy-to-use NPI software and tools make product change and introductions easier than ever. A wide component range on each head, as well as overlap between heads provides an adaptable factory-wide model that maximizes utilization and the range of products capable of being built.
Universal's company history has evolved continually in order to meet market demands and align with the electronics industry.
