CERTI is an independent private technology research and development organization that conducts unique activities and maintains partnerships with universities and research centers in Brazil and abroad. Its mission is to promote scientific and technological development through cooperative actions; provide a manufacturing plant to a consortium of regional research institutions, technology centers and technology-based firms; and create synergies to increase the competitiveness and innovation of processes and electronic products. Through “mobilizing projects” that have public and private support, CERTI contributes to the technological, corporate and social development of Brazil.
Since its inception CERTI’s factory-lab has been specializing in process development and testing for electronic products through research, technological developments and specialized services. CERTI works with many different customers and manufactures a wide range of products for several fields of application.
When CERTI made the decision to invest in new equipment to upgrade their technical capacity, they focused on increased flexibility as their top prerequisite. They knew their wide variation in product sizes, types and quantities of components, complexity, and fields of application necessitated a unique platform to meet their high-mix manufacturing environment.

SIPLACE SX:
The SIPLACE SX is the first machine built with rail-mounted gantries that can be added or moved within only minutes. This kind of gantry modularity allows users to scale performance and capacity separately from each other in line with changing demands. The SIPLACE SX also provides maximum quality thanks to its digital SIPLACE Vision System which stores up to 500 pictures; covers the entire component spectrum with only three placement heads; and provides 120 8-mm feeder modules in only 1.5 meters of space. When equipped with the SIPLACE MultiStar CPP placement head, the SIPLACE SX can handle a component range from 01005 to 50x40 mm.
