productronica is reporting an increase of more than 100 companies, including several new exhibitors. Even now, some of the halls are nearly booked to capacity. This event is becoming increasingly important both at home and abroad: Eight international pavilions have already registered.
More than 100 companies will be participating in this year’s productronica for the first time or will be returning to the fair after an absence of several years. They include (in alphabetical order): Berghof Holding, Eplan Software, eurolaser, InnoLas Systems, Isola, ISRA Vision, Keyence Deutschland, Minitec, ShinMaywa Industries, Testo and TSK Schill.
For the second time, electronic manufacturing services (EMS) will be one of the four highlight segments at productronica. EMS service providers continue to increase in importance in the industry, a development that will also be reflected at productronica. With the exception of a few remaining locations, the PCB & EMS Community Area in Hall B1 is booked to capacity. Companies that have registered for the first time there include Rafi Eltec, Seidel Electronic and Beta Layout.
The halls for soldering technology and component mount technology are nearly booked to capacity; in the SMT sector, companies that are participating for the first time include LionTech from Russia.
At productronica 2011, the share of international visitors increased from 39 to 48 percent. This considerable increase is also more noticeable in the exhibitor registrations for 2013. In addition to several international companies, eight countries have already registered joint exhibits (productronica 2011: five):
They are Austria, England, France, Hungary, Japan, Morocco, the Netherlands and Romania.
