As the International Trade Fair for Innovative Electronics Production, productronica is the most important platform for promoting important topics on the marketplace: Besides technologies that have a promising future, the fair also pays special attention to established sectors. productronica takes place at the Messe München trade-fair center from November 12 - 15.
Once again, this year's productronica will feature four highlight topics that will be the focus of attention in forums, roundtable discussions and special shows. They are being organized in conjunction with the Productronics Association in the VDMA (German Engineering Federation) and the ZVEI (German Electrical and Electronic Manufacturers' Association).
Technologies for cable processing and connectors
Without cables, there would be no energy turnaround, no electromobility, no high-speed Internet and no contact-free measuring techniques. Reliability starts with the selection of materials and cable manufacturing, but it must also be guaranteed when processing cables. If cables or connectors fail during or after installation, the consequences can be expensive or even fatal. This topic will be discussed at the Innovation Forum in Hall B2 on November 13, the second day of the fair.
Coilware and LED manufacturing
Coilware manufacturing is magnetic-field design at the highest level. In this manufacturing sector, efficiency depends on a number of critical factors. To meet this challenge, materials, design and processing techniques must be perfectly coordinated. Increasing energy efficiency is also a key topic when it comes to LED manufacturing. On Thursday, November 14, the productronica Forum in Hall A1 will shed light on the manufacture of coilware and LEDs.
For the first time ever, there will be a special show on “Coilware Manufacturing” in Hall B3 that presents the entire value chain in coilware manufacturing - from the refinery to materials, distributors, machines and final applications - on all four days of the fair. The special show is being organized in conjunction with the Electrical Winding & Insulation Systems Association (EWIS) in the ZVEI.
Efficient production management and Industry 4.0
To move the entire production process forward and make it more transparent, future projects such as Industry 4.0 and production-related systems like MES (Manufacturing Execution System) or ERP (Enterprise Resource Planning) are key factors for the industry. They make optimized process control, automation and intelligent resource planning possible. Efficient production management and Industry 4.0 are this year’s highlight topic at the Innovation Forum in Hall B2 on November 14, the third day of the fair.
On the first day of the fair, i.e. November 12, the panel of prominent participants in the CEO Roundtable will discuss “Industry 4.0 - Opportunities and Challenges for a Competitive Production of Tomorrow”.
Electronic Manufacturing Services (EMS)
Outsourcing in times of anticipated bottlenecks and promising new lines of business are increasing the demands that the EMS sector places on productronica. That is why the Speakers Corner in the PCB & EMS Marketplace is focusing on this topic on Wednesday, November 13. This highlight day will be rounded out by the presentation of the "BestEMS 2013" award by WEKA Verlag.
About productronica
productronica is the leading world trade fair for innovative electronics production and is supported by the Productronics Association in the German Engineering Federation (VDMA) as a conceptual partner. It has taken place in Munich every two years since 1975 and is a core element of the electronics trade fair network of Munich International Trade Fair. This network includes the leading global trade fairs, electronica, and Productronica, held in Munich, as well as leading regional trade fairs in Hong Kong, China, and India. 2011 1189 exhibitors from 39 countries and 38 0172 visitors took part at productronica. electrical energy storage (ees), the International Trade Fair for Energy Storage, Batteries and Innovative Manufacturing will be held in conjunction with productronica 2013. www.productronica.com
Messe München International is one of the world's leading trade show companies. In Munich alone it organizes around 40 trade shows for capital and consumer goods, and key high tech industries. Each year more than 30,000 exhibitors and around two million visitors take part in the events held at the Messe München exhibition center, the ICM - International Congress Center München, and in the MOC Veranstaltungscenter München. The leading international trade fairs of Messe München International are all independently audited.
In addition, Messe München International organizes trade shows in Asia, Russia, the Middle East and South Africa. With nine affiliates abroad - in Europe, Asia and in Africa - and over 60 foreign representatives actively serving over 90 countries, Messe München International has a worldwide business network. The Group also takes a pioneering role as regards sustainability: It is the first trade-fair company to be awarded energy-efficiency certification from the technical inspection authorities TÜV SÜD.
