NEW STEPPER MOTOR DRIVEN ROTARY STAGE

Steinmeyer, Inc. announced a new ultra compact precision positioning rotary stage. The model DT 180-SM offers a sleek design with an overall height of 63 mm and square footprint of 310x310 mm. This rotary stage weighs only 6.2 kg, but can handle loads up to 300 Newtons. Driven by a stepper motor, the stage has a positional accuracy of 0.1 degrees, repeatability of 0.05 degrees and surface run out of <0.02 mm. Speeds up to 90 degrees/sec and acceleration to 500 degrees/sec� are easily achieved.

The DT 180-SM Rotary Stage is manufactured from a low distortion black anodized aluminum alloy and includes a 100 mm center aperture, 4:1 gear drive, and non-contact home reference switch. Available options are an integrated controller, clean room and vacuum compatibility.

The DT 180-SM Rotary Stage is ideal for applications in the Semiconductor, Fiber Optic, Medical/Life Sciences, Optical, Laser Systems and Miniature Robotics industries.
