STI Electronics, Inc., a full service organization providing training services, analytical and failure analysis, prototyping, and small- to medium-volume PCB assembly, announces that Frank Honyotski, Master Instructor, will present at the SMTA Houston/Gulf Coast Chapter Meeting, scheduled to take place Thursday, November 20, 2014 at the Hisco World Headquarters in Houston, TX. Honyotski will present “Impacts of New Revisions in J-STD-001F and IPC-A-610F.”
Two leading standards for the electronics assembly industry have been revised: IPC J-STD-001, Requirements for Soldered Electrical and Electronic Assemblies, is recognized worldwide as the sole industry-consensus standard for soldering processes and materials. IPC-A-610, Acceptability of Electronic Assemblies, is a post-assembly acceptance standard used to ensure that electronic assemblies meet the most current acceptance requirements. This presentation will cover some of the most significant changes to both of these standards with the release of the F revision.
Honyotski is accredited by the IPC as a Master Instructor for IPC-A-600, IPC-A-610, IPC/WHMA-A-620, IPC-7711/7721 and J-STD-001. He conducts IPC certification training at the STI training site located in Madison, AL, Houston, TX and Crane, IN as well as on-site training classes for STI customers.
