MTS 30 Sparrow – Flexible Functional and Non-Multiplexed In-Circuit Test in a 19” Rack Mount Solution
Digitaltest's MTS 30 Sparrow test system provides the highest level of flexibility and test capability in a small footprint. As a result of combining ICT, enhanced switching and, test capabilities, with full functional test in a compact rack mount platform, the Sparrow can meet the demands of the world’s most challenging manufacturing and test requirements.
The SPARROW MTS 30 is a portable rack System that, with a size of 19'' fits into any universal rack.The compact and flexible test System offers the possibility to run both analog and digital tests. Additionally, the SPARROW can also accommodate 4 programmable power supplies. With the available In-Circuit and Functional Test Modules most of the required testing tasks can be resolved in a simple and cost-effective manner.The system configuration is the same as other Digitaltest systems with a parallel system bus structure that connects the analogue and digital test modules with a centralized processing module. The SPARROW has the same hardware modules such as SIGMA, so that the same test depth and fault coverage can be achieved. All existing test programs from old legacy test systems can be can transferred to Digitaltest systems. Despite its small footprint, the SPARROW with 8 slots can take up to 1024 analog or digital pins or a mix of both. Furthermore carrier boards for Memory Programming, User controlled Relay modules, Pullup/Pulldown modules, Frequency/Time Measuring modules etc. are also available.
The integration with an existing software environment e.g. Labview from National Instruments can be easily realised using an open communication interface.
Our system is also available in a 19'' Test Tower with a pylon interface at customer request. All the currently available software tools from Digitaltest can be used using C-LINK DTM for example it is a simple matter to convert available CAD data for test program generation.
Digitaltest offers also a Boundary Scan solution for the SPARROW.
Our Migration Tools –Digitaltest’s Non-Multiplexed pins, allows for easy migration from other test equipment, such as GenRad, Teradyne, Agilent etc. . When system obsolescence and support becomes an issue Digitaltest’s migration tools and Non-Multiplexed test systems can provide the best solution because it can keep older test programs operational while increasing throughput at the lowest cost.
