The focus of this year's TechDays held by Scheugenpflug AG from June 5 to 6, 2019, was entirely on future technologies: the fifth run of the traditional in-house fair offered a varied program from dispensing solutions for e-mobility to optical bonding all the way to automation and process integration. The Scheugenpflug Academy was presented this year for the first time.
Neustadt/Donau, June 18, 2019: From optical bonding to dispensing solutions for e-mobility and autonomous driving to intelligent process automation: the fifth Scheugenpflug TechDays from June 5 to 6, 2019, showed where the journey in the field of dispensing technology is headed. Around 430 visitors from 18 countries traveled to the traditional in-house fair. In the course of the accompanying specialist exhibition, 24 material manufacturers and system partners also presented their innovations.
“Scheugenpflug is one of our most important partners in the field of plant engineering. That is why we have been on site as an exhibitor since the first event in 2011," said Dr. Markus Jandke of Wacker Chemie. “Nowadays, it is important to be able to offer complete ready-to-use solutions from materials and dispensing technology. The TechDays represent the current state of the art in this field – no trade fair can compete here. In addition, visitors have the opportunity to get in contact with suppliers of upstream and downstream or supplementary processes.”
Live applications and the new Scheugenpflug Academy
This year's event also focused on facilitating complex dispensing tasks with the aid of economical, precisely coordinated complete solutions. This was reflected both in the specialist exhibition and in the live demonstrations in the in-house Technology Center, which were met with great interest by the visitors.
The centerpiece of the live applications was a fully automated production line on which sample components were potted, bonded and joined with state-of-the-art materials. The associated upstream and downstream processes as well as various options for parts handling were also shown here. Three integrated ProcessModules ensured fast and reliable material application. These optimized modules offer integrators and automation specialists access to almost the entire Scheugenpflug process portfolio. They are scalable and can be quickly and reliably integrated into own lines or production cells thanks to plug-and-produce. A vacuum solution for optical bonding and a high-performance dispensing system for applying heat-conducting materials to high-voltage batteries were also very well received.
The new Scheugenpflug Academy celebrated its premiere and was presented to a wide audience for the first time at the TechDays. Under the motto “Knowledge well dispensed”, users have access to almost 30 years of Scheugenpflug technology and process know-how. The modular training program meets the participants’ level of knowledge and provides them with the basic and practical knowledge they need for their individual dispensing task.
Networking and personal exchange
The event was rounded off by a broad spectrum of specialist presentations. In addition to the extensive event program, there was also no shortage of personal exchange: “This is the third time I've been at the TechDays," explained Christoph Metz of Harman Becker Automotive Systems. “Here you have the opportunity to make new contacts and exchange information with experts on current developments in the market. In addition, I use the event and the lectures to keep up with the latest developments in plant engineering and dispensing materials. I will probably attend the TechDays again in two years."
