IPC J-STD-001 Trainer (CIT) Certification Online Live Training Course

EPTAC will be providing online live IPC Training Course presented by a Master (MIT) instructor using a video conferencing format. Following are the dates for the IPC J-STD-001 Instructor (CIT) Certification Training Course:

February 22-25, April 19-22, June 21-24, August 16-19, October 18-21, December 27-30

This is a combination lectured and hands-on course covering the information in the IPC J-STD-001 document. The J-STD-001, “Requirements for Soldered Electrical & Electronic Assemblies”, describes materials, method and acceptance criteria for producing soldered electrical and electronic assemblies. This document has been adopted for use by the Department of Defense (DoD) effective July 19, 2001.

This 5-day program recognizes qualified instructors and will present knowledge of the J-STD-001 as it pertains to selected sections covering Wire and Terminals, Through-Hole and Surface Mount technology-in both lead and lead-free.

As part of the requirements for certification, students will be evaluated on their soldering skills in both Lead and Lead-free, and must score an 80% and no single score less than 70% on both the written and skills examinations. The in-person soldering workmanship will have to be scheduled separtely.
